Sports injury assessment

What is this treatment?
A sports injury assessment is a 45-minute consultation with a sports medicine physician to diagnose an acute or overuse injury, decide whether imaging is needed, and agree a return-to-play plan. Ultrasound and X-ray are available on-site, so most patients leave with a diagnosis and a plan the same day.
Who it's for
Athletes of any level with a new injury, pain that is not settling, or a recurring problem that keeps interrupting training.
What to expect
Your physician will take a history, examine the injured area and perform functional tests. If imaging will change the plan, it is done on-site the same day. You leave with a diagnosis, a written plan and, where needed, a physiotherapy referral.
Questions about this treatment
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly. If you have insurance that requires a referral, our team will help you arrange it.
Will I need an MRI?
Most injuries do not. We order MRI only when it would change your treatment.
